Use TeamYou with your AI via MCP

MCP is a way for AI to connect to apps.

Connect TeamYou to Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, OpenClaw, Muse, and other AI apps and agents.

Your AI can read or manage your topics, tasks, projects, and agent drive documents based on the access you choose:

  • Full access: Read and update
  • Read only: View without making changes

Sharing stays off until you enable agent sharing in Settings. You can disconnect anytime, and your AI only receives tools allowed by its permissions.

Which AI do you use?

Not every AI connects over MCP. Grok Bot, for example, works with the TeamYou skill instead: see Agents.

One command finds the agents and AI apps installed on your machine and connects them all.

  • Needs Node 18 or newer.
  • Touches only the TeamYou entry in each config, and keeps a .ty-bak backup of every file it changes.
  • Run it again any time. Nothing changes.
  • Add --dry-run to see the summary without writing anything.
  • Add --readonly to connect the read-only server instead.

The read-only server offers only the reading tools, asks for read access alone at sign-in, and lets no key change anything.

Your AI gets 8 tools by default. Add ?tools=extended to the URL for all 10.

Team tools use the agent:write permission, which is available on API keys only.

Sign in with your browser and your AI gets the permissions below.

Automation is only available on an API key.

    View topics, details, projects, areas, tasks, Agent Drive documents, and settings.

  • Write knowledge

    Create, edit, and delete topics, details, and connections.

  • Write Agent Drive

    Create, update, and delete the agent's Agent Drive documents.

  • Write work items

    Create, update, complete, and delete projects, areas, and tasks.

  • Manage automation
    Needs an API key

    Configure heartbeat and scheduled actions, and send instructions to other agents.

  • Share on your behalf
    Off by default

    Control who can open what you share: keep it private, share it by link, or open it to anyone signed in. Blocked for agents until you allow agent sharing in Settings.
