For PARA people

PARA your AI can see, and keep current.

Projects, Areas, Resources, and Archives, in one workspace that ChatGPT, Claude, and your other agents read from and write to. They file new things into the right bucket, and you see every change.

The problem

PARA only works if it stays current.

You sort everything by how actionable it is, so every project that starts or ends means re-sorting. Your agents could help, but they can't see your buckets. So the filing, and the cleanup, stay your job.

Your AI can't see the buckets

Your projects and areas live in a notes app. Every chat starts without them.

New things land in the wrong place

Briefs, links, and notes from your AI stay in chat history, not in the project they belong to.

Finished projects never leave

Done projects sit in Projects, so the list stops showing what's actually active.

PARA, mapped

Projects end. Areas don't. TeamYou is built that way.

PARA, from Tiago Forte, sorts everything by how actionable it is. TeamYou has a real place for each bucket, and it keeps the line between projects and areas: a project has a goal, a status, and tasks, and an area has none of those, on purpose.

  1. Projects → projects

A goal, a due date if you want one, and ordered tasks. Active, waiting, or done.

Kitchen remodel · Next: compare the quotes
  2. Areas → areas

No goal and no finish line. An area holds the projects, topics, tasks, and docs that belong to it.

Area: Home · Kitchen remodel, Contractors
  3. Resources → topics and docs

Topics and their details hold what you know. Agent Drive holds the documents your agents write, in folders.

Topic: Style guide · Doc: Contractor quotes
  4. Archives → archived

Archive a project or an area and it leaves your lists. Nothing is deleted.

    Tax return 2025 · archived
Moving between buckets

Projects finish. Your agents file them away.

PARA is a flow: a project ends and goes to Archives, a resource turns into a project, and an area picks up new work. Ask any connected agent to make the move. Moving, linking, and archiving count as editing, which stays off for agents until you turn it on.

  • A finished project leaves your Projects list and keeps its tasks and links.
  • An agent starting on a project finds its linked topics, docs, and area with one search.
  • Every move shows which agent made it, and when.

Using TeamYou: Update project

Marked Tax return 2025 done and archived it. It is off your Projects list, and its receipts are still in Agent Drive.

Connect

Connect in about a minute.

Connect ChatGPT or Claude with one link and sign in, or paste one setup code into an agent. Then start with your active projects and areas.

  1. Connect ChatGPT or Claude

Add TeamYou as a connector with one link and sign in. It asks your permission first.

  2. Or paste one setup code

Claude Code, Codex, OpenClaw, Hermes, and other agents set themselves up from one pasted prompt.

  3. Change anything

See what your agent added, and edit or delete any of it. Editing, deleting, and sharing stay off for agents until you turn them on.

Questions

Good questions.

Is this official PARA software?

No. PARA and Building a Second Brain are the work of Tiago Forte and Forte Labs. TeamYou is an independent workspace whose projects, areas, and archive happen to fit the method well.

Can my agents move things without asking?

Not until you let them. From the start they can add: new projects, areas, topics, and docs. Moving, linking, archiving, and editing stay off until you turn them on in Settings, and every change shows which agent made it, and when.

Does archiving delete anything?

No. An archived project leaves your Projects list and keeps its tasks and links. Show Archived brings it back into view.

Do I have to leave Notion or Obsidian?

No. Keep writing where you write. Put your active projects and areas in TeamYou, where your agents can work on them, and run both side by side.

What does it cost?

Free to start. Plus is $8 a month, with no caps.
